FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions about LAKOUM Halal Charcuterie

Everything you need to know about our certified artisanal charcuterie

Halal Certification

Are your products halal certified?

Yes, absolutely. All our LAKOUM products are certified by a recognized certification body. We guarantee complete traceability, from the farm to your table, strictly adhering to Islamic rites.

Which organization certifies your products?

Our products are certified by HQC (Halal Quality Control). We conduct regular checks to ensure the conformity of our manufacturing processes.

How can I verify the certification?

Each product bears the certification logo on its packaging. You can also consult our Our Halal Commitment page for more details on our certification process.

Products & Quality

What is the origin of your meats?

We work exclusively with French breeders selected for the quality of their meat. Our veal and beef come from farms that respect animal welfare.

Do your products contain additives?

We favor artisanal manufacturing with a minimum of additives. Our recipes follow traditional methods and use only natural ingredients: salt, spices, and herbs. Consult the detailed composition on each product sheet.

What is the shelf life?

Our products can be kept for several weeks in the refrigerator (between 0°C and 4°C). The best-before date is indicated on each package. Once opened, we recommend consuming the product within 7 days.

What is the difference between your saucissons, coppa, and chorizos?

Dry sausages (Saucissons secs): Seasoned minced meat, cased and cured. Firm texture, intense flavors.
Coppa: Boneless veal neck, salted and cured. Melty texture, thin slices.
Chorizos: Spicy sausage with paprika, pungent flavor, tender texture.

Delivery & Order

Do you deliver throughout France and Europe?

Yes, we deliver throughout mainland France as well as in the European Union (Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Netherlands). Our products are shipped in Chronofresh refrigerated packages to guarantee the cold chain.

What are the delivery times?

Orders are shipped within 24 to 48 business hours. Delivery usually takes 2 to 3 days after shipment in mainland France. You will receive a tracking email as soon as your package is dispatched.

How are the products packaged?

Each product is individually vacuum-packed, then placed in an insulated package with ice packs to maintain temperature during transport.

Can I give your products as a gift?

Absolutely! Our gift sets are specially designed for gifting. You can add a personalized message when placing your order. The premium packaging reflects the excellence of our products.

Tasting & Storage

How to taste your products?

To reveal all the aromas, take our products out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before tasting. Slice thinly and serve at room temperature. Consult our The Art of Tasting page for our pairing recommendations.

Can I freeze your products?

Yes, our vacuum-packed products can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw them slowly in the refrigerator 24 hours before consumption to preserve their texture and flavors.

What to pair with your charcuterie?

Our charcuterie pairs perfectly with artisanal bread, aged cheeses, dried fruits (figs, apricots), olives, and gherkins. For drinks, opt for mint tea, fresh fruit juice, or artisanal lemonade.

Payment & Returns

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Shop Pay, and Apple Pay. All payments are secure.
